How to book WAY more sales calls with one easy change.

By ·

Over the last few years I've watched a lot of teams try to fix their booking rates.

New copy. New CTAs. New landing pages. New offers.

And almost none of them touch the actual booking page.

The one place where every interested buyer either books or bounces.

So I figured I'd just write about it.

Five small changes. Same calendar tool. More meetings.

  1. Make your slots 15 minutes, not 30 or 60.

A 60-minute slot looks like a commitment.

A 30-minute slot looks like a meeting.

A 15-minute slot looks like a chat.

Buyers book the chat.

You can extend the call once you're on it. They almost never end at 15. But the booking page needs to be the lowest possible threshold to get them on the phone.

  1. Maximise your availability in the next 7 days.

Trying to look busy on your calendar does not increase revenue.

It just means people don't book.

If your next available slot is in 9 days, the buyer's intent has decayed by 90% before the call even happens.

Open up every slot you reasonably can in the next 7 days.

Looking fully booked feels like a power move. It costs you meetings.

  1. Offer weekend slots if you can.

Some buyers actually prefer weekends.

Founders. Heads of sales. People who can't take an "internal" call during their working week.

You don't have to offer the whole weekend. Saturday morning is usually enough.

The number of weekend bookings that turn into closed deals is disproportionate to the effort of offering them.

  1. Don't let anyone book more than 7 days out.

Anything booked further than a week ahead has a much higher no-show rate.

Life happens. Priorities shift. The pain that drove them to book gets dulled by something else.

Cap your booking window at 7 days. The lead either takes a slot inside the window or doesn't.

If they don't, that tells you something useful about how serious they are.

  1. If a call does land past 7 days out, pre-call them.

Sometimes you can't avoid it. The buyer is travelling, in back-to-back meetings, whatever it is.

Fine. But don't just let the slot sit there.

Call them before the meeting. Confirm. Either reconfirm the slot or move it forward.

If they won't pick up and won't confirm, the call wasn't real anyway. Better to know now than to block 30 minutes of your rep's diary for a no-show.

I share this because every team I've ever audited has at least three of these wrong, and the fix takes 20 minutes inside your booking tool.

Not a new strategy. Not a new hire. Just a better booking page.

If you want a look at the full booking page setup we use (questions, slot logic, no-show automations), reply and I'll send the template over.
