# The GTM Game privacy policy

This page explains what happens to your data when you visit thegtmgame.com or subscribe to The GTM Game. The short version: this website doesn't use cookies, analytics or tracking scripts, and your email address is used to send you the newsletter.

## Who runs this site

The GTM Game and this website are run by Advanced Client, Tom Grainger's company, based in the UK. For any privacy question or request, email [tom@advancedclient.io](mailto:tom@advancedclient.io).

## This website

- **No cookies.** The site doesn't set any cookies.
- **No analytics or tracking.** There are no analytics tools, advertising pixels or third-party scripts. The pages don't run any JavaScript.
- **Fonts are self-hosted**, so loading a page doesn't send your details to a font provider.
- **Hosting.** The site is hosted on [Vercel](https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy). Like any web host, Vercel's servers process the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, browser type and the page you asked for, so they can deliver the page and protect the site from abuse.
- **Images in some issues** are loaded from beehiiv's image servers (media.beehiiv.com), so beehiiv receives the same technical request details when those images load.
- **Links to other sites**, such as Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube and LinkedIn, take you to services with their own privacy policies. Nothing from those services is embedded on this site.

## The newsletter

When you subscribe, you give your email address to [beehiiv](https://www.beehiiv.com/privacy), the service that hosts the mailing list and sends each issue. Your email address is used to send you the newsletter. It isn't sold, and there are no sponsors to pass it to.

Like most email newsletters, beehiiv may record whether an issue was opened and which links were clicked. You can unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of every issue, and your address will stop getting emails.

## Your rights

Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you can ask to see the personal data held about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, or object to how it's used. To make a request, email [tom@advancedclient.io](mailto:tom@advancedclient.io). If you're unhappy with the response, you can complain to the [Information Commissioner's Office](https://ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint/).

If anything here changes, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change.
